HELPING TEACHERS HELP KIDS
Reading with Hiya was created in loving memory of Joyce Finley, affectionately known as "Hiya" since receiving that name from her grandsons, to continue her lifelong passion for reading, teaching, and empowering children to succeed.
Founded in 2026, Reading with Hiya is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit which provides supplementary resources to elementary school teachers and librarians in the Lewis-Clark Valley to expand the learning resources available to children in their classrooms.
WHAT WE DO
Resources for Teachers
Our teachers foster our future yet we expect them to pay for so many materials out of pocket.
If you are an elementary school teacher we can help you expand your classroom through our classroom material reimbursement fund.
Resources for Librarians
Kids need books, its as simple as that!
If you want to expand the books you offer to your kids through your school library we can help both through direct buying and reimbusement programs.
Community Resources
- COMING SOON -
We are working on building community and vendor relationships to provide curated packages of children's books for inclusion in Little Libraries, for direct delivery to underserved households, and to community programs.
